Ground water bioremediation using HydroRemed at a gas station in PA

The target compounds detected in the source area wells (MW-1, OW-A, and OW-B) have decreased during the eight quarterly sampling events performed since the HydroRemed injection event. These compounds included benzene, ethylbenzene, naphthalene, toluene, 1,2,4-TMB, and 1,3,5-TMB. Also, during the last three quarters (November 2011 to May 2012), the only target compounds detected in the source area wellsabove the SHSGW-RES were 1,2,4-TMB and 1,3,5-TMB, which were drastically reduced when compared to pre-injection concentrations.

Objective:

To remediate source concentrations, HydroRemed was injected into tankfield observation wells OW-A and OW-B. Post-injection monitoring of target compounds indicated that the bioremediation compound had reduced target compound concentrations within the source area.
